    Stormy is loading the photos on my thumb drive now. Probably the easiest process will be to E-mail the orig. files to you, then you can format them however you want.

    Kailyn’s been in her room for several hours now. She’s gotten up and walked around some, and seems OK. Her sister helped her brush out her hair earlier too. I gave her the laptop to check the Carepage and her email earlier and she’s had some McDonald’s for lunch. I’m thinking that she will be clamoring for sushi soon.

    She’s still got some swelling around her left eye and she’s having headaches (naturally) but her neurological exams so far are pretty good. They’ve started giving her vicodin for pain now rather than morphine, so she’s a lot more “with it” now. She actually asked me to rent some movies earlier today, so I brought those back with me (I stayed at home last night because when I was taking my mom and brother home I was so exhausted I dang near drove off the highway - I pulled over and let Mike drive the rest of the way home. Mom stayed here with Kailyn).

    I’ll be staying at the hospital tonite to hang out with Kailyn and to be able to see her doctors when they come by for rounds tomorrow morning. Right now, Kailyn is sleeping and seems to be a little more comfortable.

    PRAISE GOD!!! she is doing remarkably well. as soon as we got up here she was rearing to go for a walk. we made 1 lap in the hall and she was ready to come back to the room. they have taken her off of the morphine and are giving her vicadon. it still makes her sleepy but thats ok cause she nedds to rest. the nurse let her take a bath this after noon(which she apprecites) We are very thankful for all the support and prayers from everyone. ~~pam~~

    Kailyn continues to do well - the doctor came in this morning and removed the dressing on her incision. He said that the incision looked good and she would probably be able to wash her hair tomorrow. I was a but surprised to see that they used staples to close the incision, rather than sutures (they had originally told us during a pre-op visit that they would probably use sutures), but the incision is almost entirely behind her hairline, so I don’t think the scar will be really noticible once her hair grows back.

    Since she’s had no neurological deficits or evidence of infection/other problems, the doctor said she might be able to go home tomorrow. That would mean that she got out of ICU on the early end of their predictions, and she may well get to go home at the early end of their prediction as well.

    I saw that on LST, Marc. Good for her! I think her progress has been terrific, and hope and pray her good fortune and speedy recovery continue.
