Newspapers Still Declining
Editor and Publisher has an article that shows that the news print media is in a continuing downward spiral.
Newspapers, though, continue to reduce their reliance on newsprint, and even the future of newspapers could be at risk. Recently, New York Times Publisher Arthur Sulzberger Jr. told an Israeli newspaper that he wouldn’t care if the printed edition stopped publishing in several years, so interested is he in the paper’s future Internet success.
So they still think that the decline in newsprint sales means that people are still reading them.
I don’t read many of the online journals, most especially the NYT, Mr. Sulzberger. It is because you are an anti-capitalist, anti-democracy, anti-conservative fishwrap that my parakeets have even refused to defecate upon, in the desire to prevent the fouling of their excrement.
Change your editorial outlook to be more fair, and less biased, and you might see a turn around. Continuing to call terrorists “freedom fighters,” and continuing to blame George Bush for 9/11 will only make your execrable industry continue in its rapid and well-deserved free fall.
And good riddance when you hit bottom.

I only purchase newspapers on the weekend…and then they end up lining the bottom of my cats’ litter box for their excrement.

Well said, you two. Serious and not so serious stuff…I like it!

Their litter box is lined AFTER they’ve finished reading the papers, Robyn. It’s a fight every Saturday and Sunday morning to see who reads the best bits first! I dare not use the papers for extraneous matters until they’ve completed them!
I’m glad you like the blog, Robyn. We can guarantee that it will be interesting and enjoyable.

“Guarantee” is a strong word… unless you qualify it.
I guarantee that it’ll be interesting and enjoyable… to me and Lee, at least.
