We really need to push Govt. to hold off on all of the Warming Panic legislation. Here is another article explaining global climate changes.

But since 1999 new evidence has seriously weakened the case that carbon emissions are the main cause of global warming, and by 2007 the evidence was pretty conclusive that carbon played only a minor role and was not the main cause of the recent global warming. As Lord Keynes famously said, “When the facts change, I change my mind. What do you do, sir?”

With the economy being so iffy, we can’t afford to make one hell of a big mistake. We have actually cooled 0.6 C° since 2001.

What’s scarier is that people in charge of our Government seem to suffer from this “climate change delusion”, too.

Unfortuneately, the writer is from Australia, but I think that his comments pertain to certain un-named ex-vice presidents who shall remain nameless, but who star in “documentaries” with fake footage and alarmist predictions, none of which have come true.

This article did not even make the chronicle, but this is a perfect example of why we import so much of our oil.

Plains Exploration & Production Co. has signed an agreement with three California environmental groups to eventually halt oil production in a California field.

The Environmental Defense Center, Get Oil Out! and Citizens Planning Association of Santa Barbara groups initially opposed Plains’ proposal to expand into the Tranquillon Ridge Oil and Gas Field off Lompoc, Calif., saying it would result in oil spills, air and water pollution and hazardous gas releases.

“The cornerstone of this agreement is the requirement that oil and gas development in both the Tranquillon Ridge and Pt. Pedernales Fields will cease on Dec. 31, 2022,” said Linda Krop, chief counsel of the EDC, who represented GOO! and CPA in the negotiations. “Never before has an oil company agreed to a date certain end of production, making this a one-of-a-kind agreement.”

Plains Exploration (NYSE: PXP) has also agreed to pay $1.5 million to a local fund to be used to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and to give about 3,900 acres to The Trust for Public Land for public protection.

Granted it is a 14 year window for the company to continue to produce on existing wells but this sets a very dangerous standard.  These liberal enviro-nuts now have won a fight with an oil company, and have proven that they can shut down oil production in California, but also can get the company to turn over lands to be “protected”.  And people wonder why we have 100+ dollar oil and import over 50% of our oil.  It is because of the NIMBY mind set of the people on both coasts.

I say let them produce their own fuel, and see how they like moving around in horse and buggys.

Apparently, the words “democrat” and “demagogue” are similar not just phonically, but also in meaning. In reference, I cite the recent hearings in Congress about the “obscene profits” that oil companies are making.

In it, it states that in the US, consumers use about 168 billion gallons of gasoline per year. Oil companies, then, made about 75 cents’ profit per gallon of gasoline used (about $120 billion last year). The average tax on a gallon of gas in the US is about 42 cents per gallon. That means that the government made about $70 billion on the same gasoline.

There are two points I’d like to make about the above before I continue: The government did next to nothing for their portion of the profit. Secondly, the oil companies make money on a whole lot more than just gasoline. There’s diesel fuel. There’s heating oil. There are petrochemicals. There are plastics. There are a multitude of products that go into the oil companies’ profits. The figure cited for the government is JUST for gasoline.

Now, let’s look at an article from the local paper.

First off, the name of the committee holding the hearings is: House Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming. Note that “Global Warming” is part of their agenda… I mean “responsibilities.” Not to mention that just today, the UN commission has predicted a COOLER climate next year and that the entire Global Warming Hoax is nothing more than hype, speculation, and hysteria, but this doesn’t portend well for the unbiased reception the “Big Oil” people might expect.

Secondly, the Chairman of the committee is Edward Markee, a democrat from the People’s Republic of Taxachusetts… At least that’s one way I’ve heard the socialist, nearly communist, State of Massachusetts described. With representatives like John “Hero” Kerry and Ted “Mario Andretti” Kennedy, I think that the appellation is probably apt.

Here’s the real rub, though. The Government gives tax breaks to businesses (and occasionally, to citizens) to encourage behavior or actions that they wouldn’t take, if they weren’t paid to do it. In this case, the US Government gives tax breaks to oil companies to encourage things like alternative energy research, experimental drilling in inaccessible areas, and other such projects.

The oil companies have decided that there is no profit in such activities, or not enough profit to justify the expenditure, so the US Government gives them a tax break to encourage them to do it, regardless of the lack of profit.

So, if they take away the “tax breaks” it isn’t going to lower pump prices one penny. What it will do is cause the oil companies to stop doing whatever they were being encouraged to do. So, this demagoguery does nothing more than grab headlines, and mislead people into thinking that the oil companies are making money only because the government isn’t making them pay taxes… NONE of which is true.

Democrats are even capable of lying without saying anything, apparently.

It is notable and entertaining that more and more data show that global temperatures are plateaued or beginning to fall. Have you noticed that Al Gore has fallen silent?

The U.S. winter of 2007-08 — which meteorologists classify as the months of December, January and February — will go down as the coldest since the winter of 2000-01, with a national average temperature of 33.2 degrees, NOAA reported Thursday. Yet, despite the chill, the winter was still slightly warmer than the 20th-century average of 33.0 degrees.

However, it’s the snowfall that may be the most memorable element of this winter.

Where are Al Gore’s comments????????? He has been strangely quiet lately.

There are three types of people when it comes to global warming,  First are the world is falling/overheating fear mongers whom all have an agenda and want the rest of the world to do things to “save the planet” but at the same time do nothing themselves.  Next are those that sit back and laugh at the first group and say it is all crapola.  Then there are those that will make efforts to do things to help, but do not sell out to the widespread panic and fear that the first group is spewing.  I like to believe that most reasonable people would fall into the third group, the problem is the more the first group runs around making fools of themselves, and telling us we are all going to die because of the polar ice caps melting, and the rain forest’s being burned down, the more people gravitate towards the second group, just to further aggravate the panic mongers, and all the while more and more concrete evidence is coming forward from multiple people in the scientific community that are proving these fools wrong.  Take the article on Foxnews.com, which basically comes out and blasts all 3 candidates for POTUS, and the rest of the global warming camp, as being wrong.

John McCain, Barack Obama, and Hillary Clinton all promise massive new regulations that will cost trillions of dollars to combat global warming. McCain says that it will be his first task if he wins the presidency. After consulting with Al Gore, Obama feels the problem is so imminent that it is not even really possible to wait until he becomes president.

Ironically, this political unanimity is occurring as global temperatures have been cooling dramatically over the last decade.

Global temperatures have now largely eliminated most of the one degree Celsius warming that had previously occurred over the last 100 years. Hundreds of climate scientists have warned that there is not significant man-made global warming.

So here we have a conference that is basically saying that 99% of the things that humanity has done with regards to trying to fix global warming are a waste of time and money, as well as the proof that it is not man, or cows, or anything on this planet that is causing the overwhelming majority of the changes in temperature that have been going on, that it is the one thing in this solar system that we cannot control in any way THE SUN.  Read the 2 articles attached they show that those that are screaming that the sea is rising are about as correct as chicken little or the boy that cried wolf. 

Now we are getting somewhere on this issue! When the Weather Channel founder wants to sue Al “the weather” Gore, it means something.

Global Warming? New Data Shows Ice Is Back < --Link

Are the world’s ice caps melting because of climate change, or are the reports just a lot of scare mongering by the advocates of the global warming theory?

Scare mongering appears to be the case, according to reports from the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) that reveal that almost all the allegedly “lost” ice has come back. A NOAA report shows that ice levels which had shrunk from 5 million square miles in January 2007 to just 1.5 million square miles in October, are almost back to their original levels.

      Bill Clinton is still selling his influence.  The attached article is about the Clinton Influence Machine still turning out Access for Dollars.

     His wife isn’t even elected yet and he is forming alliances with Canadian Mining interests and quite lucratively. As the piece states,”Mr. Clinton’s charitable foundation received its own windfall: a $31.3 million donation from Mr. Giustra that had remained a secret until he acknowledged it last month. The gift, combined with Mr. Giustra’s more recent and public pledge to give the William J. Clinton Foundation an additional $100 million, secured Mr. Giustra a place in Mr. Clinton’s inner circle, an exclusive club of wealthy entrepreneurs in which friendship with the former president has its privileges.”

      The Libs complain about the Republicans having too close of ties with Big Business but I guess it is different since they are forming ties and watching out for the best interest of Foreign Corporations.  I wonder if that was how China got to have all that access to Rocket Technology.

Well this does not come as any big surprise to me.  But apparently there are some people who do not realize that Texas is big.  Both size, second only to Alaska and population second only to California.   This Fox News story about Texas having the 7th largest carbon foot print in the WORLD….

Everything’s big in Texas _ big pickup trucks, big SUVs and the state’s big carbon footprint, too.

Texans’ fondness for large, manly vehicles has helped make the Lone Star State the biggest carbon polluter in the nation.

The headquarters state of America’s oil industry spewed 670 million metric tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere in 2003, enough that Texas would rank seventh in the world if it were its own country, according to the most recent figures from the U.S. Energy Information Administration. The amount is more than that of California and Pennsylvania _ the second- and third-ranking states _ combined.

Yes the title is correct, Ron Paul is right, when it comes to the UN.  They are in his words ,” unelected, foreign body, such as the United Nations. ”  But the thing that is missing from his campaign that would resonate with most conservatives is the fact that they are also the most liberal and corrupt organization in the world.   They moved to the top of the list with the oil for food scandal came to light as the reason that they (the UN) was unwilling to enforce their own resolutions against the previous Iraqi government, that have lead to our current military presence in Iraq.

And they have since solidified their position with this current little story I found.   It has come to light that the UN is ignoring its own internal rules about about who they can purchase items from.  You see this enormous bureaucratic monstrosity that is the United Nations has a procurement list and if your company is not on the list you cannot sell things to this organization.   However it has become apparent that those that work at the UN and its many different sub organizations have failed to follow their own rules

According to this Rooske scientist, we have peaked in the current warming trend and will see decreases in global temperatures over the next 10 years or so. I wonder if they will revoke Al’s Nobel???

I have been studying this for some time now, and I have come to the same conclusions as this man. Humans are having a negligible effect on mother earth. Bold is mine.

Earth is now at the peak of one of its passing warm spells. It started in the 17th century when there was no industrial influence on the climate to speak of and no such thing as the hothouse effect. The current warming is evidently a natural process and utterly independent of hothouse gases.

Astrophysics knows two solar activity cycles, of 11 and 200 years. Both are caused by changes in the radius and area of the irradiating solar surface. The latest data, obtained by Habibullah Abdusamatov, head of the Pulkovo Observatory space research laboratory, say that Earth has passed the peak of its warmer period, and a fairly cold spell will set in quite soon, by 2012. Real cold will come when solar activity reaches its minimum, by 2041, and will last for 50-60 years or even longer.

Carbon dioxide cannot be bad for the climate. On the contrary, it is food for plants, and so is beneficial to life on Earth. Bearing out this point was the Green Revolution—the phenomenal global increase in farm yields in the mid-20th century. Numerous experiments also prove a direct proportion between harvest and carbon dioxide concentration in the air.

And this is what I have come to truly believe!

Carbon dioxide is not to blame for global climate change. Solar activity is many times more powerful than the energy produced by the whole of humankind. Man’s influence on nature is a drop in the Ocean.

Global warming is over

Whatever warming trend was going on has flattened out in the last seven years. Which is an odd thing, because China and India have been pumping out more CO2 from cars and industry. A bunch of ugly facts are nailing the biggest scare story in history.

A Senate Report from the Minority on Committee on Environment and Public Works puts the lie to claims that a “scientific consensus” exists on the theory of anthropogenic global warming. Over 400 scientists are cited disputing various elements of the theory.

Another one to add to the pot.

As I have said the Global Warming Scare is predicting events that are part of a natural cycle.   By the way, due to Global Warming the sun is going to set tonight and rise in the morning.  Now if this happens you will know that Global Warming is true.The below article illustrates that the rise and fall of global temperatures and sea levels (due to melting ice) is a natural cycle.

You have to remember that there were no SUVs back at the last run of this natural cycle.  Although cow farts have also been blamed for global warming.  My theory is that Dinosaur farts must be much more powerful than cow farts and that they actually work in just the opposite way.  Dinosaur farts caused Global Cooling (which we all know causes Global Warming).  So if scienctists will concentrate on cloning dinosaurs we could cancel out the SUV effect and everybody will live happily ever after. (Except of course those that become Dino prey and dino toe jam.)  A small price to pay to satisfy Emperor Gore.

Skeptical Scientists Urge World To ‘Have the Courage to Do Nothing’ At UN Conference

BALI, Indonesia - An international team of scientists skeptical of man-made climate fears promoted by the UN and former Vice President Al Gore, descended on Bali this week to urge the world to “have the courage to do nothing” in response to UN demands.

Lord Christopher Monckton, a UK climate researcher, had a blunt message for UN climate conference participants on Monday.

“Climate change is a non-problem. The right answer to a non problem is to have the courage to do nothing,” Monckton told participants.

This article on Fox News.com is just one more reason that I simply laugh at the eco-friendly crowd.  I mean here are a bunch of people who stand on the mountain top and scream about environmental concerns but at the same time are some of the biggest hypocrites in the world.  The article shows just how out of touch these people are and if you look at who is on the list you can see that every one is a liberal or “moderate” which just goes to prove that conservatives are the only honest ones when it comes to the environment
