Good morning all, what a fine day we have to enjoy. You know this great weather won’t last long. Most of you know how the weather can be so unpredictable. So, get out and have a FANTASTIC day.
It is a glorious day! Second day for no smoking….. tomarrow is the last hurdle day and voila. I just awakened yesterday thinking…….. I really don’t want to smoke anymore! Works for me.
I quit for good Jan 01, 2000. I used the patches for a month, then carried the gum for a while. I have felt better each passing year since I quit. I am to the point now that I never think about smoking unless I smell someone else’s smoke. That usually turns me off now.
I was in the 6th grade when I started, so I am amazed I didn’t have cancer or other serious fatal complications. I did have a heart attack a few years ago that my Cardiologist claimed was due to my long term smoking habit.
I enjoy not having to go outside, or to the bar to smoke when we go out.
Mornin all, another day that God has given to us.™
AW great attitude about smoking, I know you can do whatever you set your mind to it. If I can do it, stopped myself on 1-07-07, you can do it also. Just stay busy and have a chocolate bar on me. I need to go outside and deal with the squirrel problem I am having with them digging in my flowers. Enjoy the day that we have been given everyone.
If you really want to quit, get the gum and patches, which are available from Nicoderm. The patches wean you off of the nicotine over a month or so, and the Nicorette gum fills in the panic craving after that. They are now available at Sams and Wall Mart as generics at lower cost. Much cheaper than smokes now!
IMPORTANT!!! Throw all tobacco products away (or smoke em up first) and never buy any more. Give it another shot. If I could do it so can you.
Now if we can get Neocon to quit, the world will be a happier place.
Shannon, you have to want to. Then, you have to ignore the need. After 3 days the worst is over. My problem is, I quit for about 3 years then go back for a year or so, then quit again. This is my fourth time to quit. One lasted 10 years lol
I have tried to allow everyone to edit their comments, but apparently WordPress doesn’t think you are capable. The plugin is in, and active, but works about like the spell checker (not at all).
Katfish,
Sorry for the delay. Dr. Appt. was at 11 AM.
If you have a yellow pencil stub with a pink eraser and “Edit” to the right of the date and time, you can edit your comments. I had thought at Author level you could.
Wino, every time I open this link, my avast tells me there is a virus/worm attached. I then click on stop connection and it goes away. Why is this happening? It just started yesterday.
Really, I have been considering getting a couple of bikes for a year or so.
I make a couple of mail runs into Brookshire each day. Round trip 5 Mi. I could save 200 miles of gas per Mo.
If the economy keeps slipping, we may be forced to adapt in a lot of ways.
Tomorrow we are working Tanner and Gessner once more. The business’ on those corners have signed their no trespass agreements with the city and have posted signs. We are gonna help the business owners get the message across.
Today was very successful at Tanner and Gessner, Our signs arrived about 10:30 and we posted them at the locations. The owners of the business, filed their paper work with the city. The police came and made the illegals leave. ALL OF THEM. No loitering by the new city ordinance. Don’t know how long this will last, but it was lovely for a while! This new ordinance gives shop owners some clout.
Does anyone see my “Test post” after the open comments? My devious mind has come up with a way that Authors can pre check their links and comments before submitting them.

New birds (and some old ones too) on my blog — still no kitties — I have a difficult time getting good shots indoors.

Emme, sprinkle cayenne pepper in your flower beds. Kitties and Squirrels don’t like licking it off their paws.

What browser are you using? I use NS, but Firefox and IE work similar.
You game?

We have a CPA do ours. He is reasonable considering estate stuff and things I don’t want to study up on.
I used to use Turbo Tax when things were simpler, but the last few years it wasn’t worth the price and time to do so…toooo many complications.
