This was an interesting read to say the least.

    Conclusion:

To all those out there with the “Free Tibet!” stickers, here are a few facts that will help the world make sense:

    1. There will always be bad people.
    2. Bad people don’t care about hurting good people. Appeals to shame, empathy and guilt don’t work on them. That’s why they’re bad people.
    3. Bad people respond to force. They don’t like it and will change their behavior to avoid it.
    4. Good people need to use force to stop the bad people from hurting other good people.
    5. It’s not the same when a good person uses force to stop a bad person as when the bad person uses it to harm a good person.
    6. Not letting good people use force against bad people encourages more bad behavior.
    7. Good people using force against bad people should be encouraged. This will make the world a better place.

To all the pacifists out there who think guns are the problem, all the moral lightweights harping about the “cycle of violence”, please remember:

Guns liberated Auschwitz and violence ended slavery. The world you “imagine” is not here on Earth but in the next life, and you’re really gumming things up for the rest of us by confusing the two.

Free Tibet - Hell yes! But to whom do we send the weapons?

    From Omar-Iraq The Model:

The latest three messages from al-Qaeda addressing the Sunni community uncover the depth of the crisis that al-Qaeda is facing in its former host community.

One suspects that a group of the [Islamic] party’s members are essentially stuck with al-Qaeda: they can’t walk away because of the incriminating evidence al-Qaeda has against them and could threaten to expose.

      This is absolutely hilarious!

    Grandma Goes to Court.

Lawyers should never have asked a Mississippi grandma a question if they weren’t prepared for her answer.

In a trial, a Southern small-town prosecuting attorney called his first witness, a grandmotherly, elderly woman to the stand. He approached her and asked, ‘Mrs. Jones, do you know me?’ She responded, ‘Why, yes, I do know you, Mr. Williams. I’ve known you since you were a boy, and frankly, you’ve been a big disappointment to me. You lie, you cheat on your wife, and you manipulate people and talk about them behind their backs. You think you’re a big shot when you haven’t the brains to realize you’ll never amount to anything more than a two-bit paper pusher. Yes, I know you.’

The lawyer was stunned. Not knowing what else to do, he pointed across the room and asked, ‘Mrs. Jones, do you know the defense attorney?’

She again replied, ‘Why yes, I do. I’ve known Mr. Bradley since he was a youngster, too. He’s lazy, bigoted, and he has a drinking problem. He can’t build a normal relationship with anyone, and his law practice is one of the worst in the entire state. Not to mention he cheated on his wife with three different women. One of them was your wife. Yes, I know him.’

    The defense attorney nearly died.

The judge asked both counselors to approach the bench and, in a very quiet voice, said, ‘If either of you idiots asks her if she knows me, I’ll send you both to the electric chair.’

    Wino:

I think I have it working, again, again. We had another “burp” this evening. I think everything is working again.

I don’t know how they’re getting in. I’m going to see if they get in again, now. If they do, I’m going to take “extreme measures.”

Anyway, if you can’t post or comment or get sirens as of 9:00 pm tonight, let me know via email, and I’ll see what I can do.

    Mrs. Wino:

    Thanks Katfish,
I was trying to keep things low keyed, but saw the invitations and fell in love with them. Hope you and Barb can make it. There will be other fellow blogsters there as well. Some from other Blogs too.

Sorry to all for the Faux interuption, but I got the warning that cause Wino to go into a frenzy. I like the new look. How about you all?

    Katfish:

Well - had an error msg last night (sent to Wino in case he needed that). I LOVE the new format - particularly the tag list right here handy!

    Wino:

The problem is that someone has infected our database. I can keep them out, but I have to shut down sign up to do it… no new readers, and we have too few, anyway. I really don’t know what to do, at this point.

I hope to have it fixed shortly, though. Last night, I shut down and re-installed all the “normal” stuff, which is what was generating the error messages. Tonight, I’ll have to do a complete blog-ectomy, since we’re still infected.

Stand by for more error messages… and then I hope to make everything go away.

I’m still getting the virus warning, which does liven up things! I love the look of the blog, but find it difficult to click onto open comments. Mrs.Wino, yes, the invitation is lovely…. thank you. The folks at Lucianne had a bad time with this virus, Wino, maybe you should contact them…. they finally got it fixed, had to take down the blog about 3 or 4 times.

    Mrs. Wino:

This virus bs if for the birds. At least it got a new look. :)
Don and I have a luncheon, company, thingy today. I’m off to get ready since I’m in charge. You all have a wonderful rainy weekend.
