One Hundred and Fifty Lives Lost
Oh, Canada!
Hillary Clinton and Barak Obama want to pattern the US health care system after the socialist plans of Britain and Canada. If this is the answer to better health care, then why did the following happen?
Critically ill (Canadian) patients rushed to U.S. for care
Yes, you read the headline correctly. I did the italicized editing to let the headline tell the real facts. “Healthcare for everyone” really means “Healthcare for everyone we can afford,” with someone other than the patient or his family making the decision.
The lead paragraph says all you have to read:
More than 150 critically ill Canadians – many with life-threatening cerebral hemorrhages – have been rushed to the United States since the spring of 2006 because they could not obtain intensive-care beds here.
And in case you think this isn’t a result of their socialism, could you please explain the following quote from the same article?
Despite the urgency of these cases, patients encounter barriers to accessing care at every turn. The problems include: limited access to teleradiology; limited operating-room time; too few intensive-care beds; a short supply of neurosurgically trained intensive-care nurses to staff them, and too few neurosurgeons.
In some cases, neurosurgeons are available to operate, but with intensive-care beds full, there simply is nowhere to put them afterward.
No doctors, no nurses, no beds, no nothing… That’s why “no cost government healthcare” costs less.

This is the scariest thing IMO about the Dems. The Libs say that if Roe vs Wade is overturned then we would be going back to the days of people dying because of botched abortions. If we get government health care we will be going to a point in life where people will be dying because of lack of health care or beds or doctors or nurses or pick whatever reason you want. I just pray that we never get Government health care.

I agree with Emme. We need to remind people constantly about the failed health care in Canada. But, why does anyone think the government can do anything well? Our government screws up everything it touches. Everything….

We are looking at Costa Rico. If I am going to die, I want to die happy.
