RIDING IN MEMORY & HONOR OF ED “OLDIRON” BARRETT,
……………………………….. Gone But Not Forgotten! ………………………………..

Saturday the 10th

The Texas Honor Ride (THR) is this Saturday the 10th.

All the funds raised go to support our wounded soldiers at Brook Army Medial Center (BAMC) in San Antonio.

If there is a big turn out the THR may double the amount they raised last year.

The ride leaves from the Park and Ride on the NE corner of I-10 and Hwy 6 just south of Park Row.

A staging area will be set this week near Park Row for the PGR members to meet at and ride in together.

This is so we may ride to San Antonio together in a group.

As we have ridden many missions together this will allow you to ride this long distance

next to riders you know and feel comfortable with rather than a group of strangers who you have no idea of their riding level.

To register on-line for the THR click on the link below:

Register Now !   (After Thursday you have to register on site, print out the form here)

This year BAMC is allowing all able wounded soldiers who can to come to out and have lunch and meet with the riders.

Please join us as we support our heroes with the THR.

Ride Captain:  JohnnyD        email: johnnyd@setexaspgr.org

Please RSVP so we have an idea of how many riders we will have.

PGR Staging Location is in the parking lot of the Harvest Community Church 14311 Park Row, Houston, TX 77079

This is right next door to the entrance of the Park and Ride on Park & Ride Dr.

PGR Staging will be 0630-0700  KSU 0700 to the main staging area

for the THR which is right across the street.

Bryan College Station Veterans Day Parade:

This Veterans Day we are celebrating Veterans Day

and the USO celebrating 66 of service to the Armed Forces.

One of the floats in the Parade is for the families of the fallen hero’s that the PGR has completed missions.

The following families are scheduled to be on the Fallen Hero’s float;

Twitty Family, Edwards Family, Warford Family,

and I am contacting Tommy Coats’s to invite him and his wife to be on our Honor the Fallen Hero’s family float.

The Patriot Guard Riders are requested to escort the float in the parade.

I will be there with my bike to escort the float

and I hope other PGR members can show up to help escort the Fallen Hero’s Honored Families float.

The Edwards family is looking forward to the PGR being there

so they can personally thank the PGR members that honored their son during the Caldwell mission.

Please have people contact me if they are planning to ride to honor our fallen hero’s families November 11, 2007.
