BlogNEWS

Folks who have been reading and commenting this weekend may notice that some posts and comments have disappeared.

I had hoped that things would run their course, and I would be able to let things die a slow, painful death. Well, apparently that wasn’t going to happen so I took an unprecedented step by deleting articles and comments. I didn’t want to do that, as I had hoped to keep a clean record of FN never deleting actual comments. (Cialis and viagra ads don’t count.)

Well, what is done is done. I hope I don’t have to do anything like this again (hint, hint).

Everybody can now get back to their rat killin’.

Well……………I found myself ‘without a horse in the race’ (aka not enough real data for an honest opinion).

I did observe a perfect example of the need to use instant msgs or emails or even a telephone perhaps vs. publicity………………just my 2 cents and well worth at least a penny!

Katfish, I hope this is the last word on the issue.

Everything was my fault. I didn’t want word to get out beforehand, or to hurt anyone more than was going to happen, so I waited too late to let folks know before we made the announcement. I tried, up to the minute before announcing it. When it came out later in a public forum, folks were unnecessarily hurt, and struck out.

Had I handled things better, none of it might have happened. When I saw that things were apparently going to continue ad infinitum, I finally used my magic wand to make things disappear.

Like I said, I have never done anything like that before, and hope to never have to do anything like it again.

After my deletion, I saw a discussion on LST’s open comments about “tone of a blog.” Well, I guess that’s the reason I did the deed. This is my blog, and I set the tone. I didn’t like the tone, so I re-colored the conversation.

I apologize to anyone who thinks I have done wrong. Were it a discussion fit for public consumption, I wouldn’t have deleted it. I felt like it was a couple down the street arguing with their windows open. It really wasn’t public business, and no one really wants to hear it.

Wino certainly no apology needed from this desk and you last paragraph above is spot on IMHO.

Part and parcel of why I held my fingers in check……

Hopefully all concerned parties can continue to share beyond our daily selves as I find myself caring for all!
