It used to be a little bit of a hassle to put future posts up ahead of time. This is easier I must admit. This should work, and we are in Canada, somewhere.
Have a great week everyone!
I have closed registration for the nonce, but I’ve also opened the ability to comment without registering. Later this weekend, I’m going to try to “kill” the bug/virus that is right now trying to invade this site.
I hope to keep the old status alive, post wise. I may not be able to “save” users. If this happens, please don’t hesitate to re-register using your old name when the “new” FauxNEWS is launched. I’m sorry for this inconvenience. Somehow there is a bug in WordPress code that allows folks to send bogus information in their sign-in data. I’m reading a PHP book to find out how to stop this, but in the meantime, I’m just shutting it down.
Foxnews has an article in which black pastors are accusing Planned Parenthood of targeting blacks moreso than whites. They base this on the fact that the founder of Planned Parenthood was a believer in eugenics, the fact that blacks are given abortions at about five times the rate of whites, and the fact that Planned Parenthood is willing to target blacks for “services” if overtly racist donors ask them to.
Just follow this link to see all the details for yourself.
Below, I have excerpted a few paragraphs from the above link, and added some bold for myself. Both the excerpt and the entire article are worth a quick read.
Sanger, a pioneering advocate for universal access to birth control for women, was also a proponent of “eugenics,” a philosophy that advocates social intervention, like birth control and abortion, for “improving” the hereditary traits of the human race. According to biographies written about Sanger, who was the sixth child of 11 eleven born to a rigid Catholic family in upstate New York, her support for this practice was focused on the “unfit” and the poor — slum dwellers — as they were called at the time, by making contraceptives more available there.
Over the years, comments made by Sanger about reproduction among the poor and minorities have led to her reputation as a racist and a belief that she wanted to “weed” out blacks from society. Planned Parenthood has disputed that caricature and has pointed out her supporters in the black community, including Martin Luther King Jr., and W.E.B DuBois. Nevertheless, Childress and others repeatedly invoked her name as a major force behind a century-long “genocide” on the black community.
According to a report released by the group of Students for Life America on Tuesday, black women are 4.8 times more likely to have an abortion than white women, while the black population in the U.S. is in decline. Black women account for 36 percent of those having abortions in the U.S. today, according to group, while black children make up 17 percent of live births.
“Contrary to the public’s belief that Planned Parenthood is helpful and supportive of family planning and the health of the mother and child, recent news and research show that the roots of its foundation have continued to give birth to continual hatred and disdain for minorities that its founder saw as ‘unfit,’” the group says in its report.
In its response, Planned Parenthood emphasized that 97 percent of its services are focused on providing contraceptives, breast and cervical cancer screenings and sexually transmitted disease testing and treatment — not abortions.
What does the bolded part mean? Well, it means that as long as you get birth control pills for three years, the one month you have an abortion keeps their averages just as shown. That’s right, they average an abortion once every three years for each client they have. That’s just plain ol’ math.
Planned Parenthood should be referred to as an abortion advocate, not as anything else. Their agenda is obvious, and their means of achieving it is also obvious: killing babies, and doing it before they are born.
This article did not even make the chronicle, but this is a perfect example of why we import so much of our oil.
Plains Exploration & Production Co. has signed an agreement with three California environmental groups to eventually halt oil production in a California field.
The Environmental Defense Center, Get Oil Out! and Citizens Planning Association of Santa Barbara groups initially opposed Plains’ proposal to expand into the Tranquillon Ridge Oil and Gas Field off Lompoc, Calif., saying it would result in oil spills, air and water pollution and hazardous gas releases.
“The cornerstone of this agreement is the requirement that oil and gas development in both the Tranquillon Ridge and Pt. Pedernales Fields will cease on Dec. 31, 2022,” said Linda Krop, chief counsel of the EDC, who represented GOO! and CPA in the negotiations. “Never before has an oil company agreed to a date certain end of production, making this a one-of-a-kind agreement.”
Plains Exploration (NYSE: PXP) has also agreed to pay $1.5 million to a local fund to be used to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and to give about 3,900 acres to The Trust for Public Land for public protection.
Granted it is a 14 year window for the company to continue to produce on existing wells but this sets a very dangerous standard. These liberal enviro-nuts now have won a fight with an oil company, and have proven that they can shut down oil production in California, but also can get the company to turn over lands to be “protected”. And people wonder why we have 100+ dollar oil and import over 50% of our oil. It is because of the NIMBY mind set of the people on both coasts.
I say let them produce their own fuel, and see how they like moving around in horse and buggys.

Yeah… I screwed up the blog.
At least I think it is working, now.
AW, are you still getting that message? We had some hackers get in. I dunno how, but I think I’ve blocked them out, now. I’ll know soon.
Update
OK! I’m getting your emails. I hope to have it working today. Sorry. It’s hard to get things working once the bad guys have visited, without losing everything to-date.
I hope to have it working soon. When (if) you can comment again, then it’s working. You might need to sign in again, as well, but the email - password stuff should still be working, once I get the rest working.
Sorry for the inconvenience. I hope you can at least READ this post.
Our vacation trip is coming closer. We are out of here on 04/23 and will be back 05/01. First time trip to Canada…Should be interesting.
We have 6 Gb each to take pictures with so expect a bunch (weather permitting).
I am trying the new WP publish option in the right column for this post. let’s see if it works. Wino, turn off Announcement for the for the previous OC if I don’t remember, this OC next Sunday Please, Please. I have next week’s OC programmed. Let’s see if it works first. May have to turn on Announcement for this new OC…don’t know. Looks like it works!
For Authors who cannot edit their comments (like Katfish).
You can still edit your posts, so post a new page (Titled Katfish Comments or whatever) and check “Keep this post private” at the top of the right col. under Publish status. Then compose your comment to another post, (like open comments) in your secret personal post.
At the very bottom of the edit page choose “Announcement“. Your secret post should stay on top or close (easier to find). No one else will see it.
You can use the Post editing shortcuts (above the edit box) to insert links etc. just like you do to edit a regular post.
For links I usually compose the link text first, highlight it, and then go to the page I am linking to. Put the cursor in the browser link box and highlight the entire link (left click), or do a Edit, Select All from the command bar. Then select Edit, Copy in the command bar. Switch back to the comment you are editing and click the blue Link command above. Right click the link box that appears and select Paste. Your link should appear in the box. Click OK and check the link in the comment text for errors.
Click “Publish” and see how your comment will look. You should see the edit pencil eraser above the post. Edit if you need to and save. This re-publishes it.
If all is working (check links), click Edit (above the post text…the pencil ya know), and left click the comment text to put the cursor somewhere in the text edit box.
Then Right click in the text box. Click Select All. Then right click again and click Copy. That puts the HTML coded comment in the clipboard.
Go to the post that you want to comment on and left click in the comment box. Right click and select Paste. You are home free. Click Submit and hope you caught all your errors first. Once you hit Submit, your comment is set in stone.
You can leave your private post up and just do a Select All in the edit box and then Delete the old stuff to get a clean slate for a new comment.
See if this makes sense Katfish.
Someone go through this and make sure it works for you. Hope this helps, untill WP lets all commenters edit their comments.

NY Times Finally Figures It Out
The leaders of poor countries are telling us that their people are starving due to increased food prices. Those who disagree state that much of the cause is a drought and less wheat from Australia.
From Today’s NY Times article referenced above:
But now a reaction is building against policies in the United States and Europe to promote ethanol and similar fuels, with political leaders from poor countries contending that these fuels are driving up food prices and starving poor people. Biofuels are fast becoming a new flash point in global diplomacy, putting pressure on Western politicians to reconsider their policies, even as they argue that biofuels are only one factor in the seemingly inexorable rise in food prices.
Of course, if you were reading FauxNEWS last July 14, you would have known this was going to happen, anyway.
From the July 2007 article:
The grain was now being used for a beverage that everyone wanted, and yet, food was also somewhat important. A bad harvest occured, and many people starved, even though gin (jenever, juniper) production continued.
But wait! There’s more! Keep reading from the same article.
Now, flash forward to today. We have a grain product that is used for food, cooking, and feeding to stock to produce meat. Environmentalists have now forced the government to convert this food grain into a liquid that does not provide sustenance, and that provides less energy content than the other hydrocarbon fuel now in use.
Food prices are increasing, as are all other prices, since everyone must buy food. Fuel prices, rather than going down, are going up, indirectly due to increased production costs due to this new “biofuel” that we are being forced to accept.
How long will it be until people begin to turn to crime or abandon their children, in part due to the increased costs of this ill-conceived, feel-good policy?
Using food sources for other than food has never worked out in man’s favor. I doubt biofuels becomes the one exception to this rule.
Yep. You can read FauxNEWS, or wait 9 months for the NY Times to publish it.

For those of you following the latest action in Iraq, You know that the GoI has been going after the Sadr criminals. This is a first test of the IA, IP and ISF. They did well, with a little help from our air support. They are definitely learning. The following is from Pajammas Media by Mohammed from Iraq The Model. (Same article)
Iraqi PM Nouri al-Maliki has been presented with a golden opportunity to build on political cohesion and bolster the rule of law by dismantling the Mahdi Army.
I think what encouraged Maliki to push the limits of the conflict to this unprecedented level was the first-of-a-kind success of the Political Council for National Security — an entity that includes the president, PM, and leaders of major parliamentary blocs — to reach consensus on a decision. This entity managed for the first time a week ago to overcome the impotence that had halted its mission since its inception. Evidence of the newfound potency of this entity is that Ayad Allawi, who had refused being part of it for a long time, is now sending delegates to negotiate terms for his membership.
I think that the tipping point has been reached. The Iraqis have intelligent, educated leaders who know we may not be there in a couple years. They read our news feeds and really do fear that the Dems will force our military to abandon them sooner than later.
Lets hope reason rules.
Here is a source of information on the top Iraqi leaders.
They all seem to be well educated and experienced.
Carly Fiorina is one smart and talented woman. She was HP’s CEO for a while. This is a good article about her and John McCain. Evidently, McCain has been listening to a lot of us and has been persuaded to change his mind on several issues. He was on the Rush program earlier, and he has embraced more conservative views. If he sticks to it I will have to vote for him, especially in light of the details coming out of the Clinton-Obama hate fest.

Love it!
First off, I’m going to give you an important site to contact your representative, as well as find out who it is. This is not to say that you don’t know who your representative is, but in case you need the mailing or email address of your Congress Critter, here’s how to find it.
Click here to find out who your representative is.
You’ll need to know your four digit extension on your zip code, but there’s a link there for finding it, if you don’t have any old junk mail laying around that you can use for reference.
As of this writing, the email doesn’t work… Typical government inefficiency at its best. I sent a message to them telling them that it doesn’t work, but I’m sure they don’t really care. Why allow input from your constituents? It might get in the way of doing what you really want.
Anyway, I have uploaded two documents that you can access by right-clicking the following links. They are forms/blanks for sending to your congress critter concerning the Trans-Texas Corridor and Crony Payback project. One form voices your opposition to the Environmental Impact group, which must be sent within the week, due to the closing of public comment on the 19th of April.
The second form, to be sent to your Congress Critter, as well, asks for an investigation of this whole smelly scheme. We all know that the vast majority of Texans don’t want it. The question then becomes, “Why is Governor Goodhair pushing it forward in opposition to the Peoples’ Will?”
The answer, is probably to be found by applying the adage, “Follow the money.” This second form basically asks for the US Congress to look into this questionable deal.
Link 1: The letter to the Environmental Impact Group
Link 1a: Link 1 in plain text format
Link 2: The letter to your Congress Critter asking for a TTC investigation
Link 2a: Link 2 in plain text format
The first document has a section you’ll have to edit and fill out. Now, I think that all of us is smarter than any of us, so I’d like to use the comments for this article to help us come up with reasons to oppose the TTC. I know this is an easy task, but I’d like everyone’s input. Please take a moment to state why we should oppose this fiasco for environmental reasons. Remember, the first document is going to the Environmental Impact group, so we need to address the reasons they are tasked with investigating.
Bonus points if you can use “Global Warming” or “Endangered Species” as part of your logical statement to be included.
Both letters will require some editing to get them to work. If you need your congressman’s email address, it is usually (state abbreviation)(congressional district)@mail.house.gov.
So, for Queen Sheila’s email address, I could send an email to tx18@mail.house.gov and she’d probably get it (and not read it, since I’m white). There is also usually a contact your congress critter on your congressman’s site. The House keeps sites by “lastname”.house.gov. This means that you can find Nick Lampson’s site by going to http://lampson.house.gov.
If the above email doesn’t go through, the alternate email address scheme is rep.lastname@mail.house.gov. So, rep.jackson-lee@mail.house.gov might also work. As a last resort, you can do a search on the congressional site, http://www.house.gov and have a fairly good chance of finding the information you need.
As a resort, AFTER the last resort, you can just ask in the comments, and I’ll find the email address for you.
It’s not hard, but be careful in case your congressman has a common last name. Kevin Brady is NOT at brady.house.gov, for example.
So, let’s get busy, and write up some reasons. I’ll add them to the document, to give us all time to get them out before the deadline.
Hat tip to 64Novaman for this article. He sent me the documents I used to base the above links on.

Michael Yon has a new piece in the WSJ. “Let’s ‘Surge’ Some More” A good read…Wish the Dems could.
I have suspected that speculators in the market are the cause of oil’s
high flying ways recently. Someone else agrees with me.
Still in a speculative frenzy, oil prices continue to churn upward, heading for $109 bbl. Meanwhile, the cost of a gallon of gasoline is likely to hit $4 a gallon by Memorial Day in many parts of the country:
Rick Moran puts some numbers to my suspicions.
Many private forecasters attribute high prices to manipulation by the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries and speculation in the oil market, which reached record levels in the first quarter. Joe Stanislaw, an independent energy adviser to Deloitte & Touche, calculates that the physical realities of supply and demand point to an oil price of $50 a barrel. The possibility of supply disruptions due to political strife in Iran, Venezuela and Nigeria might add another $10. Anything above that, he argues, is due to oil’s popularity as an investment.
God bless your family. You were dear to my heart for many years.
Rest in peace old friend. We will meet again.
